Children’s Trust Fund of Oregon Foundation (CTFO) offers funding for the Small Grants program which allows CTFO to quickly and easily support private nonprofit organization applicants with grants of up to $1,000 for one time projects that provide a unique contribution to child abuse prevention.
The mission of the Children’s Trust Fund of Oregon Foundation (CTFO) is to foster healthy child development and to support efforts to protect children in Oregon through strategic investments in local, proven or evidence-based child abuse prevention programs. Foundation prioritize grants for programs or program components which nurture and protect children by strengthening families and providing parents and caretakers with the education, skills and resources for healthy child development.
In the 2011-2013 funding cycle, the Children’s Trust Fund of Oregon has provided nearly $700,000 in Oregon for local, best practice child abuse prevention programs including home visitation, parent education, family support and intensive prevention programs like Oregon’s Relief Nurseries. The Childre’s Trust Fund is honored to join 34 programs across Oregon in protecting thousands of children from abuse and neglect with proven prevention programs.
Eligibility–
Any public or private charitable non-profit offering services in the State of Oregon or an individual contractor performing a service that benefits children and families in the state.
How to apply?
- After reviewing the criteria for the Small Grants, the applicant will send a two page proposal electronically to the CTFO Executive Director at email adress given in website. Upon receipt of the proposal, the applicant will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of the proposal and indicating any additional materials or information required by CTFO
- Please include the following information in the two page proposal-
- Name, address and federal ID (EIN) number of the applicant organization
- Name, address, telephone number, fax and email contact for the Project contact person
- Brief description of the mission of applicant organization and a summary of the organization’s history and program/services
- Describe how the organization and staff are effectively qualified to implement and complete the project
- Describe the project, the desired outcomes of the project, and the plan for accomplishing these goals
- Explain the need for the project and describe how this project will promote or support child abuse prevention efforts/family strengthening activities in Oregon
- Describe who and the number of people expected to benefit from the project, including the geographic are served
- Describe specifically how CTFO funds will be used
- Briefly describe the total budget for the project and other forms of revenue or in-kind support
- Describe the beginning date and duration of the project
