Higher Education for Development (HED) in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development Mission in Colombia (USAID/Colombia) announces Request for Applications (RFA) for the Colombia-U.S. Human Rights Law School Partnership Program.
HED expects to make three awards for approximately three (3) years each for higher education partnerships between higher education institution(s) in the United States and higher education institutions in Colombia referenced below.
The three awards will be funded as follows:
- · Partnership 1 – Antioquia: up to $1,250,000
- · Partnership 2 – Valle del Cauca: up to $1,000,000
- · Partnership 3 – Caribbean Coast: up to $760,000
Award Amount: $1,250,000
The purpose of the program will be to support the ongoing initiatives of the Government of Colombia to improve respect for and protection of human rights. This will be achieved by strengthening the capacities of Colombian law schools in the outlying regions of the country to provide formal and non-formal training in this area.
