Administration for Children and Families is offering grant opportunity for Community Economic Development Projects to help low-income individuals become self-sufficient. The mission of this program is to support businesses that develop new products, services, and other commercial activities that result in the creation of new positions for low-income individuals that-
- Lead to increased self-sufficiency for low-income individuals and their families
- Create businesses and jobs in low-income communities that improve the livelihood of not only those
- who obtain those jobs but the community itself
- Attracts additional public and private funds to increase investment and quality of life in low-income communities
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
- Nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher educations
