All interested applicants are invited to apply for Community-Based Violence Prevention Field-Initiated Research And Evaluation Program to prevent and reduce youth violence. This program is funded by The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP). The objective of this program is to to change community norms regarding violence, provide alternatives to violence, and increase awareness of the perceived and actual risks and costs of violence among high-risk young people.
OJJDP expects to award multiple grants under this solicitation that will range from $100,000 to $500,000 for a project period of as long as 36 months.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Eligible applicants are limited to states (including territories), units of local government (including federally recognized tribal governments, as determined by the Secretary of the Interior), nonprofit and for-profit organizations (including tribal nonprofit and for-profit organizations), and institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education). For-profit organizations must agree to forgo any profit or management fee.
- OJJDP welcomes joint applications from two or more eligible applicants; however, one applicant must be clearly indicated as the primary applicant (for correspondence, award, and management purposes) and the others indicated as coapplicants.
