USAID is desired to invite applications to carry out a five year, $72 million, global program to strengthen the capacity of governments and civil society in partner countries to implement high quality, sustainable, evidence-based and comprehensive HIV and AIDS prevention, care and treatment services with key populations at scale. The main objective of this program is to ensure that partner governments and civil society partners have the technical capacity to provide coverage of comprehensive HIV/AIDS services for key populations and their sexual partners at scale. The emphasis of this project is to make quality services available by means that can be scaled, including through improved
referrals and linkages across the continuum of both community and clinic-based services.
Areas covered-
- Empowerment-based, peer-led outreach (including approaches to changing behavior and social and gender-sexuality norms)
- Provision of Condoms and Lubricant
- Referrals or services for testing and treatment for sexually-transmitted infections (STIs)
- HIV Testing and Counseling (HTC)
- Harm Reduction
- Antiretroviral therapy (ART) for individuals who are eligible and Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission
- Pre-ART care for those not yet eligible for treatment and community-based care that supports resilience among key populations.
Eligibility & Criteria-
This Cooperative Agreement will be fully competed, and competition is unrestricted. For-profit businesses must waive profits and/or fees to be eligible to submit an application. Faith-based and community organizations are eligible to apply. USAID encourages applications from new
partners.
