United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Institute of Food and Agriculture is inviting the grant recipients of Phase I for Phase II grant application on ‘Small Business Innovation Research Program’2014.
Projects dealing with agriculture related manufacturing and alternative and renewable energy technologies are encouraged.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Only previous Phase I winners who have not previously applied for Phase II support are eligible to apply for Phase II support.
- Applicants must have previously completed a successful USDA Phase I project before applying for a Phase II grant. If a Phase I awardee has previously applied for Phase II funding and was not successful; the awardee is not eligible to resubmit the same project.
- Applicant submitting an application must qualify as a small business concern for R/R&D purposes at the time of award.
- A potential grantee that is a subsidiary must show that the parent company is also a small business entity and the parent company must provide documentation supporting their small business status.
- SBIR awardee, together with its affiliates, must not have more than 500 employees.
- The small business concern must be the primary performer of the proposed research effort.
