U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is accepting applications for Development Innovation Ventures (DIV). The goal of this program is to foster and identify innovative development solutions that have a broad impact on people which are also a pillar of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) reform program, USAID Forward.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- DIV welcomes applications from many types of organizations. According to ADS 303.3.6.2, “USAID may provide assistance to any U.S. or non‐U.S. organization, individual, non‐profit, or for profit entity.” These eligible organizations may include-
- U.S. Non‐Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
- Non‐U.S. NGOs
- Individuals
- Faith‐based organizations
- U.S. and Non‐U.S. private businesses
- Business and trade associations
- International Organizations13
- U.S. and non‐U.S. colleges and universities (public and private)
- Civic groups
- Regional organizations
- Foundations
- All applicants must be legally recognized organizational entities under applicable law. The participation of foreign government organizations under this APS is possible only through an approved subaward agreement with a prime recipient
- Applicant’s activities should take place in the countries for which USAID provides assistance. Please note that grant funding may be used to cover expenses incurred at headquarters locations, including indirect costs, if these locations are not in countries where USAID provides assistance.
- Applicant must be an organization from, or with an operational focus in, a country that is not ineligible for assistance under the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended, or related appropriations acts.
