It is now time for Fund to support partnerships between French and American Civil Society Organizations – Call for Proposals 2012. The main aim of this call for proposal is promote the coactions between French solidarity organizations and those from the American civil society.
The main idea is the actual existence of a partnership already identified between a French entity and an American entity. This call for proposals may also help the replication of innovating initiatives, created in France or in the USA, which could facilitate the daily life of NGOs in each country. One can mention, for instance, Global Giving (USA), Babylon (France) or GreaterDCCares (USA).
The French Embassy formed a selection committee in 2011.This committee, which will welcome new members in 2012, will meet in June to choose up to three laureates.
The grant application should include, besides the application form provided during the selection process:
- A grant application letter, addressed to the Cultural Counselor, Mr. Antonin BAUDRY. The letter should include the exact amount of the money granted by the selection committee. The letter should be written on t he NGO letterhead and signed by the organization’s president. Sample letters in French and in English will be provided to you.
- A provisional balanced budget explaining how the granted funds will be spent and the additional financial supports to the project (if existing)
- The justification of the legal personality and the legal status of the applicant(s) (the status of the organization and official documents certifying the not -for-profit association status).
- The bank details of the organization and a crossed check (in anticipation of the bank transfer)
