MetLife Foundation and The Association of Performing Arts Presenters pleased to offer grant opportunity to The Association of Performing Arts Presenters.The goal of this program is to support innovative strategies that target the full spectrum of community members from all generations and populations in community-based performing arts programs.
One-year grants of up to $25,000 will be awarded to presenting organizations in support of promising new approaches to community engagement through the performing arts. A total of $150,000 is available to support the All-In grants program. APAP will harness its international communications network to highlight accomplishments and lessons learned from each project – including opportunities for members of the presenting field to participate in a dialogue with grantees.
The goals for the All-In program are:
- Identify and support organizations committed to learning about and integrating new approaches to fostering the participation of an entire community;
- Support the planning and implementation of community engagement projects that go beyond conventional audience development strategies;
- Share new and adaptive strategies from funded projects in an effort to increase the effectiveness of community engagement practices.
Eligibility-
Applicant must be a current member of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters, and a presenting organization. Arts Presenters considers a “presenter” to be: “a facility/program, entity or person who presenters artists and/or pays artist fees; a facility, program, entity or person wishing to find artists/agents/managers for performances you are putting on; a producing organization whose primary interest is in finding touring artists to perform.”

- Complete the application, budget template and budget narrative, and supplemental materials.
- Submit materials by the given deadline.
- By submitting an application, the applicants agree to allow proposal content to be posted online by APAP as a benefit to the field highlighting innovative ideas and best practices. APAP encourages those applicants not awarded to move forward with their proposals and inform APAP of developments, successes and challenges.
