The Project ICARUS Global Advisory Board and the GBTA (Global Business Travel Association) North America Sustainability Committee are looking to recognize companies and professionals who can demonstrate outstanding achievements in the buying and supplying of business travel and meetings products and services through the annual Project ICARUS Outstanding Achievement Awards program 2015. Applications are invited under four categories.
The winners will be presented with a specially commissioned bronze Project ICARUS trophy at the GBTA Foundation gala dinner to be held in April/May 2015.
Award Categories
- Travel Supplier – including air, rail, hotel, ground providers etc.
- Travel Intermediary – including technology partners, TMCs, Card providers, GDSs etc.
- Travel Buyer – business travel and meeting buyers
- Travel Team – meetings and events teams
Focus Regions: North America- Antigua & Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago and United States of America.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants can be a travel buyers, suppliers, intermediaries and individuals/teams operating across the business travel and meetings industry in North America.
- Applicants must have a serious commitment to develop sustainable business travel & meetings programs, products or services and outstanding leadership, innovation and creativity in any one of the mentioned categories.
- A company applying for the award must have a global or regional headquarters based in North America to be eligible for the awards.
Application Procedure
- Entries can be submitted directly via email or post.
- Submissions will be accepted in Word, PDF or PowerPoint format – up to a maximum of 2,000 words.
- All applicants should provide the following details at the head of the entry-
- Company name and category entered
- Travel program/product/service/activity relevant to the entry
- Contact details of person responsible for the application who may be contactable by the judges if required.
