Applications are open for the 2015 grants for Social sciences in USA by Russell Sage Foundation (RSF). The Russell Sage Foundation works for the improvement of social and living conditions in the United States. RSF supports social scientific research as a means of diagnosing social problems and improving social policies. The Foundation typically makes grants up to $150,000.
Focus Areas
The Foundation is dedicated to strengthening the methods, data, and theoretical core of the social sciences. The Foundation’s awards are restricted to support for social science research within the following five program areas:
- Behavioral Economics
- Cultural Contact
- Future of Work
- Immigration
- Social Inequality
Types of Grants
Project Awards- Projects with budget requests greater than $35,000
Presidential Authority Awards- All projects with budget requests up to $35,000
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants for project awards must hold a Ph.D. or other advanced terminal degree.
- The applicants must demonstrate a career trajectory that supports the ability to carry-out high-level research.

- All potential projects must be preceded by a letter of inquiry.
- Interested applicants are requested to submit letters of inquiry in advance of the deadline.
- If the LOI is approved, the applicants will be invited to submit full proposals.
