Applications are invited for second round of Health Care Innovation Awards under U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI). The mission of this program is to cover a broad range of payment and service delivery models, including accountable care organizations; bundled payment; primary care transformation; initiatives focused on the Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIP enrollee populations; initiatives to accelerate the development and testing of new payment and service delivery models; and initiatives to speed the adoption of best practices.
Eligibility & criteria-
- Organizations expected to apply are- provider groups, health systems, payers and other private sector organizations, faith-based organizations, state and/or local governments, academic institutions, research organizations, public-private partnerships, and for-profit organizations.
- To be eligible, a non-governmental organization must be recognized as a single legal entity by the state where it is incorporated, and must have a unique Tax Identification Number (TIN) designated to receive payment. The organization must have a governing body capable of entering into a cooperative agreement with CMS on behalf of its members.
