The Mountaineers Foundation is accepting applications from non profit organisations in Pacific Northwest for its Paul Wiseman Conservation Education Grant. Through the annual program, grants of up to $30,000 will be awarded to projects that envision significant environmental education benefits and include carefully articulated goals and outcomes. Projects should have the potential to create significant impact and/or visibility and can span multiple years.
The foundation provides support to organizations and agencies working to preserve the natural beauty and ecological integrity of the Pacific Northwest.
The Paul Wiseman Conservation Education Grant will be approved at a $30,000 limit. These grants should have a high impact or visibility and could span multiple years.
Eligibility Criteria
- The foundation only funds projects led by organizations that are tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or other nonprofit entities, by certain agencies such as libraries and schools, and, occasionally, by individuals.
- Consider the following eligibility for projects
- selected projects of 501(c)(3) or of other non-profit organizations and of certain agencies such as libraries and schools;
- projects that preserve and protect environments of the Pacific Northwest through active programs that involve a variety of community organizations
- direct educational programs and materials related to environmental conservation
- lectures, conferences, seminars
- written or audiovisual awareness materials
- curriculum or other instructional materials
How to Apply
Following items must be included in your application.
- A completed Grant Application Form
- A short (4-page maximum) narrative
- Your organization’s most recent financial statement and a specific detailed budget for this project
- Your organization’s tax-exemption statement from the IRS
- Evidence (e.g., a letter) of commitment from any organization you have included in your project’s work scope.
