The Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), a component of United States Department of Justice (DOJ) is seeking proposals from non-profit organizations for ‘Technical Assistance Program’ 2014. The main purpose of the OVW Technical Assistance Program is to provide direct technical assistance to existing and potential grantees and sub grantees to enhance and support their efforts to successfully implement projects supported by OVW grant funds. The grantees are offered with the training, expertise, and problem-solving strategies they need to meet the challenges of addressing sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.
The maximum grant amount is $225,000 (for 12-month projects), $425,000 (for 24-month projects), and $600,000 (for 36-months projects). Applicants must obtain Data Universal Number System (DNUS) Number before 13 February 2014 to register online.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Nonprofit national, tribal, or statewide organizations and institutions of higher education are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must have the capacity, including the staffing expertise, resources, and/or appropriate partnerships necessary to provide training and technical assistance on a national level.
- Applicants must partner with one or more organizations to ensure the appropriate expertise is available to implement the proposed project successfully.
- Individuals and for-profit organizations are not eligible to apply.
- All certification and other eligibility related documents of all applicants must be current and developed in accordance with the FY 2014 solicitation.
