Natural Resources Conservation Service Oregon is seeking applications for Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) for which the funding offered up to $139,000. The goal of this program is to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies while leveraging the Federal investment in environmental enhancement and protection, in conjunction with agricultural and forestry production.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Applications will be accepted from any eligible entity within the 50 States, the Caribbean Area (Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands), and the Pacific Basin Area (Guam, American Samoa, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands) for projects within the state of Oregon.
- CIG applicants must be a federally recognized Indian tribe, State or local unit of government, non-governmental organization, or individual
- Be in compliance with the highly erodible land and wetland conservation provisions
- Have an interest in the agricultural operation
- Have control of the land for the term of the proposed contract period
