Administration for Children and Families (ACF) is offering funding opportunity for Refugee Home-Based Childcare Micro enterprise Development Project. The objective of this program is to provide employment for the home-based child care service providers as well as for refugee women who will be able to seek work once their children are in appropriate child care service.
Purposes of the ORR home-based child care MED program are to–
- Assist women refugees in becoming economically self-sufficient
- Help refugee communities in developing employment and capital resources
- Enhance the integration of refugees into the mainstream
Eligibility & Criteria-
Public and private nonprofit agencies” such as-
- State governments
- County governments
- City or township governments
- Special district governments
- Independent School districts
- Public and state-controlled institutions of higher education
- Native American tribal governments (federally recognized)
- Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities
- Non-profits with 501(c)(3) IRS status (other than institutions of higher education)
- Non-profits without 501(c)(3) IRS status, other than institutions of higher education
- Private institutions of higher education
- Faith-based and community organizations that meet eligibility requirements are eligible to receive awards under this funding opportunity announcement.
