Youth Service America and the Sodexo Foundation are accepting applications for the Sodexo Foundation School Engagement Grant initiative.
Programs funded through the grant will engage teachers and students, grades K-12, in a semester of service learning about childhood hunger in their community. The program framework is designed to engage students in a minimum of seventy hours of service and learning over a period of at least ten to fourteen weeks.
Grantees will receive a $5,000 grant award to support professional development in service-learning, project planning and implementation, and demonstration/sharing of outcomes; eligibility for recognition through the establishment of annual awards designed to further enhance both outreach and replicability of the program; and YSA training and resources.
