Proposals are invited by Ethel and James Flinn Foundation for Grantmaking Opportunities Program that provide mental health care and services in southeast Michigan – specifically Wayne, Oakland, Macomb or Washtenaw County. The Foundation has allocated approximately $500,000 to this program and will consider one-year grant requests ranging from $25,000 to $50,000.
Priorities–
- Public information, awareness and education campaigns that combat negative stigma attached to mental illness
- Public policy research to improve delivery of mental health care and services
- Organizational capacity building that will improve both service delivery and treatment outcomes – examples include staff training/development, organizational assessments, improvement of internal operations, or evaluation of effectiveness
- Technical assistance to improve and advance clinical flow and practice to meet new requirements of “meaningful use” technology
- Screening, assessment, diagnosis and intervention relating to early mental health treatment
Eligibility–
This program is open to all governmental agencies and non-profit entities
