Enabling Accessibility Fund through the Small Project Component supports activities which improve the built environment through the renovation, construction and retrofitting of buildings; the modification of vehicles for community use and through the provision of accessible information and communication technologies. All projects funded through this component must create or enhance accessibility for people with disabilities within Canada. Organizations may apply for funding when there is an open call for proposals.
Small Project Component of the Enabling Accessibility Fund offers grants upto $50,000 per project to construct renovate or retrofit buildings; modify vehicles for community use; or enhance information and communication technologies to make them more accessible. At least 25 percent of the total eligible project costs must come from non-federal government sources.
