U. S. Steel Kosice invites applications for Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Students in various subjects.
U. S. Steel Kosice – the largest steel maker in Slovakia – is not only a successful company prospering in a difficult competitive market, but is also a company behaving as a responsible citizen and partner. Every year it actively contributes towards regional development and support for charities, health care, education, culture and sport.
Eligibility–
- Applicant’s permanent residence is in the Kosice region
- Applicant’s study results to 1.8 (maximal average grade in every academic year or the last year in secondary school)
- Applicant’s social conditions (the average income for each family member is lower than 1.5 times the official minimum living income)
- Daughters and sons of USSK employees are not limited by income, but the following aspects will be considered:
- Students on technical courses that match the production policy of U. S. Steel Kosice or
- Unusual personal or family circumstances (student’s disability, incomplete family, especial success in international competitions) and
- Employees must have been working for USSK at least three years prior the scholarship application deadline.
