The United States Department of Agriculture is seeking applications from organizations for its Risk Management Education Partnership Program with a purpose of delivering crop insurance education and risk management training to U.S. agricultural producers to assist them in identifying and managing production, marketing, legal, financial, and human risk.
Program’s Goal
The goal of the program is to provide producers with a better use of providing collaborative partnerships to develop and deliver crop insurance education and other risk management training.
Funding Information
USDA will provide funding between $20,000 and $99,999.
Priorities
- educating producers of crops currently not insured under Federal crop insurance, speciality crops, and under-served commodities, including livestock and forage.
- providing collaborative partnerships to develop and deliver crop insurance education and other risk management training.
Duration
Projects will be funded for a period of up to one year from the project starting date.
Eligibility Criteria
Not-for profit organizations, State Departments of Agriculture, State Cooperative Extension Services; Federal, State, or tribal agencies; groups representing producers, community based organizations or a coalition of community-based organization that has demonstrated experience in providing agricultural or other agricultural-related services to producers; non-governmental organizations; junior and four-year colleges or universities or foundations maintained by a college or university ; faith based organizations and other appropriate partners with the capacity to lead a local program of crop insurance and risk management education for producers in an RMA Region are eligible to apply for the program.
