United Way of North Central Massachusetts is accepting ‘letter of intent’ from from all 501(c)(3) health and human service organizations serving North Central Massachusetts for funding opportunity 2014/15. Full proposal will be invited if the letter of intent is selected by the organizer. The major aim of the call is to receive intent letters from large scale of organizations to make selections for full proposal invitation.
The leadership priorities for the project are – youth development and education with focus on alcohol/drug abuse, after school programs, drop out rate, and teen pregnancy; public health issues with focus on alcohol/drug abuse, teen pregnancy, and domestic violence; and safety net programs that directly address food, clothing and shelter as the primary focus.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be non-profit organization with good financial standing.
- Applicants must be governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and involved in the direct provision of services in our communities.
- Applicants must be committed and be able to make measurable improvements for clients in one of the priority areas of the organizer.
- Applicants must have a non-discrimination policy.
- The project must be targeted to one of the following communities – Ashburnham, Ashby, Ayer, Devens, Fitchburg, Gardner, Groton, Harvard, Hubbardston, Leominster, Littleton, Lunenburg, Pepperell, Shirley, South Lancaster, Templeton, Townsend, Westminster and Winchendon.
