The US Department of State, Embassy of the United States, Islamabad, Pakistan is calling applications for large and small grants to strengthen civil society, support economic empowerment and entrepreneurship, foster regional stability, or support public sector institutions.
Award Information
- Large Grants
- Award Amount – The average proposal should be $150,000 per year, with an official cap of no more than $300,000.
- Duration of Award – Programs should be between 1 year and 2 years in length.
- Small Grants
- Individual Award Amount – The average proposal should be $25,000 per year, with a floor of $15,000 and an official cap of no more than $50,000.
- Duration of Award – Up to one year
- Community Engagement Grants
- Individual Award Amount – The average proposal should be $150,000 per year, with an official cap of no more than $300,000.
- Duration of Award – Programs should be between 1 year and 2 years in length.
Eligibility Criteria
- Submissions are encouraged from U.S. and Pakistani registered not-for-profit, for-profit, civil society/non-governmental organizations, and educational institutions with at least two years of programming experience.
- Applicants are only allowed to submit one proposal per organization per category.
How to Apply?
All application materials must be submitted electronically through Grants.gov. Applications materials submitted via other means such as email will not be accepted.
Authorization to submit proposals through grants.gov is a multi-step process that requires prior successful registration with DUNS, NCAGE, SAM, and grants.gov.
