Deadline: 14 February 2014
USAID is accepting applications for the Economic Stabilization Program (ESP) from non-government or for-profit organizations. Major aim of the grant program on ESP is to create jobs and improve economic opportunities in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) by improving the productivity of farmers and livestock holders and expanding micro and small enterprises.
The Economic Stabilization Program helps farmers to move beyond food insecure subsistence production and support non-farm entrepreneurs in a manner that will maximize the livelihood improvement returns from investments in infrastructure that the USG has made in FATA; and contribute to further stabilization by building viable economic alternatives to militancy. ESP is intended to serve as a bridge program between short-term stabilization activities and longer-term, more sustainable development.
