The USAID Donald M. Payne International Development Graduate Fellowship program is now open for outstanding young people interested in pursuing careers in the Foreign Service of the U.S.Agency for International Development (USAID). The fellowship aims to support the members of minority groups who have historically been underrepresented in international development careers and those with financial need.
The fellowship program is open for US Citizens who want to work in the sector of poverty, hunger, injustice, disease, environmental degradation, climate change, conflict and violent extremism.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens.
- Applicants must be seeking admission to enter graduate school in the fall of 2014 for a two-year program at a U.S. university. They can be in the senior year of their undergraduate studies, graduating by June 2014, or they can be college graduates.
- Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale at the time of application.
- Applicant must have passed GRE or GMAT test within two years of application.
Accompanying information and documents in the online application form are- background information; personal statement; a statement explaining the need of financial assistance; two letters of recommendation; proof of US Citizenship with a copy of birth certificate or US Citizenship or US passport; Student Air Report; GRE or GMAT Scores; official financial aid statement from applicant’s senior year (if applicable); and official transcripts from colleges and universities the applicant has attended.
