The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications from organizations to fund for USAID-Uganda Sanitation Program. The program will focus on improving access to sanitation with a motive of reducing the incidence of diarrhea and other disease related to poor sanitation while contributing to nutritional goals, in particular, and on ensuring that Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services are sustainable.
Funds and Awards
- USAID is intending to provide$31,461,000 in total USAID funding over a 5-year period.
- USAID also intends to award a Cooperative Agreement pursuant to the notice of funding opportunity.
Program Objectives
- Increased household access to sanitation and water services;
- Key hygiene behaviors at home, school, and health facilities expanded;
- Strengthened district water and sanitation governance.

Eligibility Criteria
- U.S. and non-U.S. organizations may participate under this NFO.
- Applicants who have not previously received any financial assistance from USAID are eligible to apply for the program.
- Applicants must have established financial management, monitoring and evaluation processes, internal control systems, and policies and procedures that comply with established U.S. Government standards, laws, and regulations.
- Recipient must be a responsible entity.
