The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Indonesia invites grant applications from US and non-US non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for the human rights programming that will respond to – urgent or unanticipated human rights challenges; and emerging windows of opportunity in the protection and promotion of human rights. The Fund aims to address urgent and new human rights challenges while building the capacity of local human rights groups and actors to respond to these challenges.
A series of grants will be awarded to NGOs for amounts ranging between $500,000 and $750,000 each for a period of 18 months.

- Broad-based human rights protection and promotion
- Protecting and promoting LGBT rights
- Addressing discrimination through integrative programs
- Human rights and climate change
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants can be US and non-US non-governmental organizations.
- Concept papers must demonstrate and respond to urgent or unanticipated human rights challenges and respond to emerging windows of opportunity in the protection and promotion of human rights.
- Proposed activities must be conducted in any of the thematic areas listed above.
- The concept papers must include one page cover page, up to 3 pages technical narrative and one page budget sheet.
