Walmart Foundation is seeking applicants for its Community Grant Program in order to support local organizations with programs that align with Walmart and the Foundation’s areas of giving. These programs that are geared toward strengthening the local communities, for example: local organizations providing health and dental screening, support for local police and fire departments and local school-based initiatives.
Community Grant Program funds supporting small business support include providing advanced training that empowers small businesses to grow their operations, particularly women– and minority-owned businesses.

Grant information
Community Grants range from a minimum of $250 to the maximum grant of $2,500.
Eligibility Criteria
- Organizations applying must meet the one of following criteria:
- An organization holding a current tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3), (4), (6) or (19) of the Internal Revenue Code;
- A recognized government entity: state, county, or city agency, including law enforcement or fire departments, that are requesting funds exclusively for public purposes;
- A K-12 public or private school, charter school, community/junior college, state/private college or university; or
- A church or other faith-based organization with a proposed project that benefits the community at large.
