The global objective of the programme is to reduce avoidable morbidity and mortality among the population living in ten EU funded province, especially women and children. The purpose of this programme is to provide quality and equitable public health services and care to the population, under the stewardship of the MoPH at its central and provincial levels.
The specific objective of this Call for Proposals is the full implementation of the (BPHS) and of the (EPHS). The BPHS and EPHS form the backbone strategy of the MoPH for Primary Health Care and for Secondary Care. The need of complementing both packages with vertical programmes (e.g. Polio Eradication) still exists.
BPHS and EPHS are tendered separately; however partners are encouraged to submit both BPHS and EPHS proposals wherever both components are tendered in a single province.
The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is EUR 48,392,000 the Contracting Authority reserves the right not to award all available funds.
The ten provinces are: Nangarhar, Kunar, Urzgan, Laghman, Nooristan, Logar, Kunduz, Zabul, Ghor and Daikundai.
