Proposals are accepted for Strengthening Disability and Rehabilitation Health Services through Increased Numbers of Professionally Trained Rehabilitation Practitioners under EuropeAid. The goal of this program is to provide training to Orthopedic Technician Assistants (OTA) and to establish the Technical Orthopedics Training Department within the MoPH Educational Institute . The Technical Orthopedics Training Department will build on the existing capacities focusing on the sustainable provision of quality services.
Objectives of this Call for Proposals are-
- Establish the Technical Orthopedic Technicians Training Department within the structure of MoPH Educational Institute.
- Support the provision of BPHS/EPHS defined disability and rehabilitation health services through increasing the numbers of professionally trained rehabilitation practitioners.
- Increase the access to specialized physical rehabilitation services for persons with disabilities through an increased number of Orthopedic Centres.
The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is € 280,000.00. The initial planned duration of an action may not exceed 13 months.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- be legal persons
- be non-profit-making
- be established in Afghanistan or a Member State of the European Union or other eligible countries as per the relevant provisions of DCI regulations
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
- be nationals of a Member State of the European Union or of Afghanistan or other eligible countries as per the relevant provisions of DCI regulations
- be national or international non-governmental organisations officially registered with the Ministry of the Economy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan
- have a Memorandum of Understanding with the MoPH or will take the necessary actions to have one
