The World Health Organization (WHO) Afghanistan Country Office in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan (MoPH) is seeking proposals from organizations for improving the quality of services provided to survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) by conducting training workshops on the GBV Treatment Protocol and provide on-the-job training, mentoring and support for healthcare providers and health facility managers.
The duration of the program will be 2 years.During these two years, 141 workshops with around 20-25 participants in each will be organized for healthcare providers from different levels of health facilities in the provinces
Objectives
- Strengthen the capacity and skills of healthcare providers to provide good quality care to GBV survivors in Afghanistan according to the MoPH/WHO GBV Treatment Protocol in seven provinces in Afghanistan over two years.
- Supervise and monitor healthcare providers’ and health facilities’ performance in providing good quality services to GBV survivors in order to strengthen capacity building activities and report back to WHO/MoPH.
- Provide on-the-job training, mentoring and support to healthcare providers and health managers on managing GBV cases to enable the organization and provision of better-quality care.
