Europe Aid is inviting concept notes for an action ‘International Cooperation in Criminal Justice: the Prosecutors’ Network of the Western Balkans’ Grant Program 2014. The program is aimed at preventing and combating serious and trans-border organized crime and linked corruption cases, with cross-border implications along with dismantling criminal organizations involved in illicit trafficking destined to the EU, in particular trafficking in firearms, drugs and human beings.
Actions must take place in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and must maintain a geographically balanced approach. The total fund for the actioins is €5,000,000.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be nationals of Turkey, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo or an international organizations as defined by Article 43.1 of the Implementing Rules to the EU Financial Regulation.
- Applicants must be legal persons from a non-profit making governmental body or relevant public administration authorities or public sector operators entrusted with responsibilities related to the implementation of activities relevant to the call.
- Applicants must be nationals of a member state of the EU or of the EEA directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action and experienced in law enforcement and/or judicial cooperation in Croatia, Turkey, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo.
