The Embassy of Australia is calling applications for the 2015-2016 Direct Aid Program (Direct Aid Program – DAP). The goal of DAP is to alleviate poverty and promote economic and social development in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay while meeting international targets for Australia. Special attention to the needs of minority groups, women and children is granted.
Grant
The average project grant from this call is a maximum of a $ 50,000 (Australian dollars) per project.
The 2015-2016 call will focus on:
- Development of children and young people
- Gender equality
- Indigenous communities
- Sustainable development and environmental protection
- Education
The DAP is a flexible program of small grants that applies in 61 Australian diplomatic missions, funding projects in over 80 countries. The DAP was created in order to provide the Australian missions in the world, a flexible mechanism of assistance to activities aimed at sustainable development.
Eligibility Information
- Projects must be submitted by non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil associations or non-profit in Argentina, Paraguay or Uruguay, engaged in development activities.
- The assistance will not be provided to individuals or to government agencies.
- The activities proposed in the project will be developed over a period of no longer than 12 months.
Applicants are requested to submit Expressions of Interest (EDI) with a summary of the project by the deadline.
