The American Center at U.S. Embassy Dhaka is announcing its 2015 Open Competition for English Access Microscholarship Program grant applications to improve the quality of English-language instruction for marginalized groups in Bangladesh.
The American Center at U.S. Embassy Dhaka promotes mutual understanding between the peoples of the United States and Bangladesh, strengthens people-to-people ties between the two countries, and provides opportunities that expand the ways in which Bangladeshis can contribute to their country’s further growth and development.
Size of Grants
The size of the grant should not exceed USD 50,000.
Project Criteria
The project proposals must:
- Be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Framed (SMART).
- Demonstrate organizational capacity and experience.
- Show innovation and creativity
- Lead to Tangible Results.
- Benefit or involve priority populations
- Indicate a reasonable request
- Meet registration requirements
Eligibility Criteria
Non-governmental organizations, non-profit organizations, foundations, trusts, community-based organizations and educational institutions with legal standing in Bangladesh and the appropriate registrations with the U.S. Government are eligible to apply.
