USAID/Bangladesh ‘Feed the Future (FtF) Livestock Project’ is accepting comments and suggestions from organizations, public and private firms on ‘Feed the Future Livestock Project’ draft. Aim of the call is to get genuine suggestions from concerned parties to give shape to the drafted project.
FtF Livestock Project is developed to improve the utilization of diverse livestock products by rural households. For this broader purpose, the project concentrates on increasing livestock productivity; improving access of households to diverse and quality food; and improving nutrition related behaviors of households. The activity will be conducted for a period of five years and total estimated cost of the project is $10 million.
The FtF Livestock project aims to strengthen the links between agriculture and nutrition through improved livestock productivity that would increase the availability of livestock products for enhanced household consumption; and improved rural household nutrition through nutrition education and promotion of dietary diversity.
