Association of Local Democracy Agencies (ALDA), in association with its Belarusian partners Lev Sapieha Foundation and the Belarusian Organisation Working Women (BOWW), has started the TANDEM project in Belarus. The main aim of this project is to encourage local people to participate and cooperate with authorities in Belarus. The project offers full technical and financial support for the development of local communities and civil society organisations in Belarus.
Proposals are now being invited from interested organizations for mini grants and partnership projects for promoting sustainable development in Belarus.
Specific Objectives
- To promote active participation of civil society in daily life at the local level
- To assist organizations in the realization of projects on protection and promotion of public interests in the context of sustainable development
- To develop cooperation, “best practices” exchange and formation of networks between initiative groups and local authorities
Eligibility for Applicants
Call for Application is open to:
- non-commercial organizations of Belarus which are acting at the local level;
- initiative groups of citizens;
- local authorities.
Eligibility of Actions
- Mini-grant activities should have a duration of minimum 12 months and maximum 14 months.
- Eligible activities that can be supported under this call:
- exchange events;
- small training events;
- small networking building activities;
- information campaigns;
- awareness raising activities;
- exchange of good practices (e.g. visits, meetings, etc.)
- thematic seminars, workshops, conferences;
- youth activities in the field of development;
- working camps and other voluntary activities;
- publications of manuals, leaflets, audiovisual material;
- surveys and research that contribute to tackle the issue of development from a local perspective.
