All eligible applicants from Brazil are invited to participate in Estacio Journalism Award which aims to promote coverage of the subject, expanding the debate and increasing its importance for the country’s development. The objective of this award is to encourage the production of newspaper articles in the press that address higher education in Brazil, in order to broaden the debate and the importance of the issue to the country’s development.
The Estacio Journalism Award – Edition 2013 will distribute nine awards in total gross value of $ 100,000, divided between two modes: National and Regional, and divided into these categories Printed (Newspaper and Magazine), TV, Radio and Internet. In National modality, the prize for each winner will be the gross amount of R $ 12 thousand. Regional modality, the prize for each winner will be the gross amount of $ 8000. The winner of the main prize, the Grand Prize of Journalism Estacio 2013, will receive the gross amount of R $ 20 thousand. Everyone will receive a certificate and a trophy depicting the award.
Eligibility-
- The journalism with a focus on higher education should be in English and have been published/aired for the first time in journalistic organ of national or regional press based in Brazil for the period between June 11, 2012 and June 10, 2013 .
- Entries can be made individually or by team work, and the person who makes the entry of the report shall be responsible for all contacts with the Coordination Award.
