Science without Borders (SWB) invites applications in various subjects for full PhD scholarship for Brazilian Students or a foreigner with permanent residence in Brazil.
The scholarships are intended to candidates of proven performance and academic potential, whose projects can not be made wholly or partly in Brazil and have already been approved in a foreign institution of excellence It aims to train doctors abroad in institutions recognized level of excellence in areas of knowledge considered cutting-edge scientific and technological, those in which the graduate in the country is still poor or in priority areas without Frontiers Science Program.
Eligibility–
- Must be a Brazilian or a foreigner with permanent visa in Brazil
- Must reside in Brazil
- Must have a master’s degree or equivalent training
- Must have the language proficiency required for the program
- Cannot accumulate the PhD grant with other scholarships granted by any national development agency
- The academic records should have been approved by the SWB Advisory Committee which, if necessary, will request an interview
- Should present a justification for the full doctorate abroad, explaining the relevance of the research topic and the impossibility of carrying it out in an equivalent graduate program in Brazil.
