Institute for Global Tobacco Control, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health jointly invites applicants to apply for Global Tobacco Control Certificate Program Scholarship 2013 in USA.
The program aims to provide formal education to research scientists, tobacco control professionals, and graduate and post-graduate students to equip them with the technical skills necessary to play key roles in tobacco control efforts. Tobacco control professionals, epidemiologists, behavioral scientists, government officials, and others involved in tobacco control are encouraged to apply.
The Global Tobacco Control Certificate Program is a rigorous, formal, academic program at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. All required courses are taken for academic credit and students are expected to excel in their coursework with grades of “C” or better.
Upon completion of the certificate program participants will receive an official certificate and transcript which indicates academic credit from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Eligibility–
- Prospective students from low- and middle-income countries are eligible.
- Fluently speak, read, and understand English and be able to actively participate in a very fast-paced English-only academic program
- Have a college/university degree with a strong record of successful academic performance
- Be professionally involved in tobacco control and planning to continue to work in tobacco control
- Can certify that he/she has never been the recipient of financial support from any tobacco product manufacturer or the parent, subsidiary or affiliate of a tobacco product manufacturer.
