The Alexia Foundation is inviting proposals from graduate and undergraduate Photojournalism Students from the U.S. and abroad, for Alexia Foundation Educational Opportunities and Grants Program 2014. Applicants are encouraged to develop project proposals that explore cultural understanding in, or, near their local community, as the students are more likely to complete a story closer to their school or home than one that requires travel. The main purpose of the grant opportunity is to support students complete projects of photography or multimedia that aim to promote world peace and cultural understanding.
Undergraduate Students Awards are – First Place Award, Second Place Award and Awards of Excellence. The Graduate Students Awards are – First Place, Second Place and Awards of Excellence.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Applicants must be duly enrolled full-time students in an accredited college or university in the U.S. or abroad, in a degree program at the time of application as either graduate or undergraduate students.
- Student who has not completed more than three (3) internships or one (1) year of full-time professional experience is not eligible to apply for the grant opportunity.
