Aarhus University (AU) is offering opportunity to study Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) fellowship programmes. The objective of this program is to is to support excellence in research by attracting the most talented researchers worldwide, and across all research disciplines. Fellows can choose their research topic freely.
AIAS is a new institute made possible by a generous contribution from the Aarhus University Research Foundation, and the AIAS fellowship programme is part of AIAS at Aarhus University. AIAS offers fellowships of up to three years’ duration and with the opportunity for fellows to fully devote time to research, completely unrestricted by teaching obligations or clinical obligations. The applicant should plan the duration of the fellowship according to his/her requirements

- An academic project description describing the specific research area that you wish to carry out at the Institute (including justification of fellowship duration/and or project timeline) – max. 12,500 characters incl. blanks, excl. list of references.

- An account of why would applicant like to carry out their research work within the AIAS framework, including an account of their visions and ideas concerning how they expect to actively add to the creation of the social and academic environment of AIAS. For Dale T. Mortensen Fellows only: Please state, if connections to AU research environments have already been established and describe plans for cooperation, if any. Enclose letters of recommendation, if any – max. 5,000 characters incl. blanks.
- Budget: Only if the stay/project will require additional, extraordinary expenses besides your salary.
- Suggestions by the applicant of 5 peer reviewers to review the application (including relevant contact information for each reviewer).
Eligibility & Criteria-
The target group of the junior programme is talented researchers with at least two years of experience after completion of PhD, whereas the senior fellowships aim at talented researchers with 10+ years of postdoctoral research experience.
