AnthropoGraphia is seeking applications from Photographers and multimedia storytellers for its Human Rights through Visual Storytelling Award. AnthropoGraphia will grant a 3,000$ award to one outstanding Visual Storytelling essay. The goal of this award is to offer opportunity for visual storytellers to exhibit their work and demonstrate their commitment to human rights issues.
Format-
- Send up to 25 photographs per essay. Photographs must be in .jpeg format and must be 1500 pixels on their longest side. All formats are accepted, including but not limited to 24X36, panoramic, diptych, triptych, 6X6 and 6X7.
- Or upload one multimedia work compressed in a .zip format that should be no longer than 15 minutes and should weigh no more than 300 MB.
- Write a short synopsis of approximately 150 words. Provide any other files in PDF format that applicant consider relevant, such as a C.V., artist’s statement, press kit, book reviews, or tear sheets.
- There is no restriction as to the time period during which the body of work has been created.
- Be prepared to send high-resolution photographs to AnthropoGraphia within 10 days.
- A project (or projects) previously entered in the competition may be re-entered.
- Applicant may send as many essays as they wish.
Eligibility & Criteria-
- There are no specific qualifications required to submit works to AnthropoGraphia, other than that the photographs and/or multimedia project(s) submitted must contain a clear link to Human Rights. AnthropoGraphia does not discriminate because of age, sex, religion, race, colour, national origin, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation or identification, or any other factor prohibited by law. There is no charge to submit photographs and/or multimedia project(s).
- Photographs and/or multimedia project(s) entered in a previous year of the competition may be re-entered.
