Joseph Rowntree Foundation is accepting proposals to focus on Generations, work and poverty: attitudes and expectations. The mission of this program is to understand the attitudes and expectations of different generations in relation to work and retirement. JRF is interested in exploring the implications of an ageing society across generations and contributing to a more evidence-based debate on generational fairness which includes all generations, not just young and old.
Ageing population brings both opportunities and challenges for individuals, employers and the state. It is widely accepted in policy circles that with longevity comes the need to work longer, in order to reduce dependency ratios and help meet the costs of an ageing society.
The total budget available for this research is up to £100,000.
