Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs is accepting entries for second Trans-Pacific Student Contest 2014. The entry must be a collaboration between a student who is a citizen of the United States and a student who is a citizen of one of the listed Asian Country. Contest winners will receive a free trip to New York City in October 2014, to participate in Carnegie Council’s 100th Anniversary Celebration and Fourth Global Ethics Network Annual Meeting.
Students should enter an essay or video should be about the shared or different values between the two contest partner’s home countries. Those values must be illustrated using current or historical developments from each country.
Eligibility Criteria –
- Each entry must be a collaboration between a student who is a citizen of the United States and a student who is a citizen of one of the following Asian Countries- Brunei, Cambodia, China (including Hong Kong and Macau), East Timor, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, North Korea, Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam.
- Entrant must be undergraduate and postgraduate student.
- Entry must be in English language.
- Entry essay must be written in op-ed style with 2000-3000 words. Entry video must be not more than 10 minutes in length.
