Cartier, the Women’s Forum, McKinsey & Company and INSEAD Business School are jointly inviting entries for Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards 2014. The major objective of the award is to encourage the most vulnerable category of entrepreneurs in their most vulnerable phase – the women entrepreneurs starting up.
The award function has two rounds – first in July and second in October.
- Round 1 – 18 finalists are selected by the jury (top 3 projects of each region – Latin America, North America, Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East & North Africa, Asia-Pacific) on the basis of their short business plan. The finalists are offered coaching to move to the second round.
- Round 2 – the finalists receive invitation to visit France for final round of competition. They need to submit a detailed business plan and present their projects in front of the Jury. They also get invitations to the Annual Global Meeting of the Women’s Forum.
Finally, one Laureate for each of the six regions is selected and awarded a support package US $20 000 of funding, one year of coaching, networking opportunities and media exposure.
Eligibility criteria –
- Women entrepreneurs in the initial stages (between one and three years of operations) of development, in any country, of any nationality and operating in any industry are eligible to apply.
- Application must be submitted in English language through online application portal to be accepted as eligible.
- Applicants must have fluency in English language.
