2 weeks Competency Based Learning Program is being organized to recognize the importance of providing practical education and training rather than just theoretical knowledge. The program is sponsored by Netherlands organization for international co-operation in higher education (NUFFIC). The aim of this program is to focuses on what competences are crucial for a professional to perform at the optimum level in his or her respective job area.
Objectives-
This two week programme is a first step towards becoming an educational expert. It will help applicants to reflect on the educational changes needed in their institute or organisation. Through blending modern educational theories with practical tools applicants will-
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the principles and practice of a competence-based learning approach
- Have insight into the possible effects and outcomes of a CBL approach in your own educational context
- Learn to apply active learning in the design of competence based courses
- Be able to develop competence-based assessments, and to coach and to evaluate learning processes with your colleagues
Eligibility & Criteria-
- Applicants are teaching at a university, a vocational institute, or training centre. Applicants should be manager or an adviser working in education and training development. Applicants should be policy maker developing educational policies Or
- Currently leading the integration of competence-based learning within education and training systems.
- The NFP target group consists of professionals who are nationals of and work and live in an NFP country.
- Priority will be given to-
- live and work in Sub-Saharan Africa
- are a woman
- belong to a priority groups and/or are from a marginalised region as defined by the Dutch embassy in their country
