Competition is being organized by Global Land Tool Network on good practices for tenure security in the Muslim world. Winners will have the opportunity to win grand prize of up to US$ 4,000. The mission of this competition is to t identifying approaches, initiatives and projects that successfully increased security of tenure and access to land, housing and property rights in Muslim communities, with special consideration to the poor, the women, and the youth. Papers that document experiences that provided a positive impact on the communities and that could be replicated and institutionalized are of particular interest, as it is the intention of the organizers to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Objectives-
- Documenting good practices and lessons learned on tenure security in the Muslim world
- Encouraging knowledge development and capacity development on good land practices
- Identifying innovative tenure security tools and approaches to be further developed and tested
- Identifying land rights champions (individuals or organizations) in the Muslim world
Eligibility-
All applicants are encouraged to participate and to invite their contacts, networks and partners to submit papers
