The Europe Aid has announced grant opportunity for Food Security Thematic Programme (FSTP) Addressing Food Security for the Poor and Vulnerable in Fragile Situations in South Sudan. The major purpose of this program is to grow the capacities of vulnerable groups to sustainably produce and access food. Also this may help to improve the food security situation of vulnerable population groups in conflict affected areas of South Sudan.
Areas covered-
- nutrition
- gender equity/equality
- sustainable management of natural resources and/or environmental sustainability
- resilience to climate change
- human rights and in particular access to land and natural resources for the most vulnerable
- the rehabilitation of livelihoods and of livestock and agricultural production systems and
- strengthening organisational and operational capacities of producers including sustainable value chains and improved marketing structures.
The Grant size range from EUR 1,000,000 to EUR 1,500,000. The initial planned duration of an action may not be lower than 24 months nor exceed 36 months.
Eligibility and criteria-
- be legal persons
- be non-profit-making
- be non-governmental organisations
- be established in a Member State of the European Union, or in an official candidate country as recognized by the European Union, or in a Member State of the European Economic Area, or in a developing country as specified by the OECD/DAC, or in any country where reciprocal access to their external assistance has been established.
