Proposals are invited for Country-based support schemes (CBSS) in Cambodia under European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR). The goal of this program is to strengthen the role of civil society in promoting human rights and democratic reform, supporting the peaceful conciliation of group interests and consolidating political participation and representation.
The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is € 1 800 000. The initial planned duration of an action may not shall neither be lower than 24 months nor exceed 36 months.
Activities-
- Activities for strengthening of existing civil society platforms, network and coalition, including building of information sharing mechanisms
- Joint activities with public institutions and parliamentary bodies
- Activities for the institutionalization of consultation mechanisms between civil society and national or local public institutions;
- Conflict resolution and mediation activities
- Capacity building activities for the mobilization of underrepresented groups
Eligibility & Criteria-
- be legal persons
- be non-profit-making
- be specific types of organisations such as: non-governmental organisations, public sector operators, local authorities international (inter-governmental) organisations as defined by Article 43 of the Implementing Rules to the EC Financial Regulation. However, in case of a multi-beneficiary grant, an International Organisation cannot be the applicant and be nationals of a Member State of the European Union or of a member state of the European Economic Area (EEA) or of an accession or official candidate country as recognised by the EU or of a developing country as specified by the Development Assistance Committee of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD/DAC), or of any country other than those referred to previously, where reciprocal access to their external assistance has been established. This obligation does not apply to international organisations
- be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary
- either the applicant or at least one of its partners has its headquarters in Cambodia
