The Center for Civil Society and Nonprofit Management (CSNM) of Khon Kaen University has announced a fellowship program for students to pursue a Master Degree in Social Development at Khon Kaen University for the 2015-2017 academic years.
The fellowship will be awarded through the USAID Civil Society Partnerships Project (CSPP), which aims to improve the capacity of civil society leaders and future civil society leaders.
Lower Mekong Subregion Countries: Cambodia, Laos PDR, Burma, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Benefits
The scholarship will cover following costs:
- Full tuition fee for the one-year period of academic courses and educational support fees during the one-year thesis period.
- Visa fee and one roundtrip airfare (economy class) to and from Khon Kaen, Thailand.
- Living expenses, accommodation, and course materials up to 96,000 Thai Baht per year
- Health insurance during the program.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be a citizen of the following Lower Mekong Subregion countries mentioned above;
- A bachelor’s degree in social science, community development, or related fields with GPA not below 2.5;
- A minimum of one year working experience and demonstrated leadership potential in a civil society organization (CSO) or working on community-level development;
- Proficiency in English. Knowledge of Thai language is a plus;
- Demonstrated commitment to return to their country of citizenship and work with Civil Society Organizations.
